It's been a hectic week for us at H2Open HQ as we had our press deadline for the Oct/Nov issue, and you'll be pleased to know we sent it to the printer on time on Thursday, so that should be with subscribers towards the end of the next week.
Also on Thursday I took part in a trial event for Open Water Swimathon, which was great fun. I
loved the team relay format where we each had to swim 200m in turn until we'd completed 5km. Luckily we were given tea and biscuits along the way to keep our energy levels up. It would be fantastic if Open Water Swimathon could become as big an event as the traditional pool Swimathon, so keep an eye out for it next year.
There's no chance to rest though as both Jonathan (our editor) and I will be at Swim Serpentine over the weekend. As well as taking part in both events,
we've also got a stand, so please come over, introduce yourselves and tell us what you like (and what you don't like) about the magazine. If you've got any worries about the swim itself, ask away and we'll do our best to help.
We'll also be running our event day offer: get your first three issues for £5.00, if you sign up for a direct debit subscription (and £12.45 per six months thereafter).
Subscribers receive their copies before the magazine arrives in the shops and also save more than 15% on the cover price.
Happy
swimming
