With the Olympics now just days away, we are getting really excited in the H2Open office. The marathon swimming events take place on the 15 and 16 August and next week we will have a guide to the swimmers to watch in the 10km swim. In the meantime, we have been
hearing of some great swims happening around the world, including Big Rick's Swimteam's new record for fastest mixed relay two-way crossing of the English Channel, Helen Beveridge's 18 hour Loch Ness swim and Adam Ellenstein's 105km crossing of Okanagan Lake. Not quite as impressive, but fun none the less, was my swim at the weekend in the river Swale in Yorkshire – taking 10 outdoor swimming newbies for their first wild swim. I am happy to report that they all enjoyed it and we have 10
converts to outdoor swimming!
Share your swim pictures and stories with us by email or on our Facebook and Instagram pages and we could feature them in our Swim Snaps page in our next issue. Enjoy the newsletter and happy
swimming.
