Over the past couple of newsletters we have been discussing safety in the open water and how we can change attitudes to swimming outdoors. With the tragic drowning of a young boy in the Thames last weekend, it seems even more pressing that we teach our children how to swim properly and how to
be safe around the open water. In this week's blog Simon looks at possible models for teaching kids in schools how to swim. Today we launch our
All Out Swim challenge with cancer charity Macmillan. We will be following teacher Sam Brett as she trains over the summer to complete her first 5km swim. I will be training with Sam and offering her technique tips and guidance, before also taking on the challenge and swimming
5km with her in Brockwell Lido in October. Do you have any open water swimming questions we can help you with? Whether it's technique, training or just some general advice, let us know and your query could be featured on our Ask the Experts page.
