Top stories from our website this week
We hope none of you were really fooled by our story yesterday about heating the ocean for the Olympic Marathon swim. However, it seems that lakes and rivers are slowly warming up in the UK with rumours of double digits being reached in places. A few commercial venues will be opening their doors this weekend with the rest to follow soon so maybe it's time to get outside if you haven't done so already this year. Meanwhile, here are the most read stories from our website this week.

1. Three steps to seemless breathing
Despite being fit, many people find themselves breathless after a few lengths of swimming. Fixing it requires overcoming the ‘breathing barrier’, which is as much psychological as skill-oriented.

2. Don't follow your dreams
While we're frequently encouraged to 'follow our dreams' and set ourselves big challenges, Jonathan has discovered that it's also quite refreshing to relax and just enjoy swimming for the sake of it.
3. What to eat before your morning swim
Our second most read article last week and third this week: Should you or shouldn't you eat before swimming in the morning? And if you should, what's best?
4. Rio organisers consider heating the ocean for Olympic marathon swim
We don't think our 1 April story actually fooled anyone but we hope it was entertaining.
5. Sean Conway talks rafts, unsupported swims and using tidal currents
Number three on our most read list last week has stayed in at number five as Sean Conway set off yesterday on his grand tour of Britain.
