We are trialing a mobile friendly version of H2Open
Can you help us decide whether to to produce a mobile-friendly version of H2Open Magazine every issue?
Technology keeps throwing up new options for publishers. When we first launched H2Open in 2011 we also produced a digital version for personal computers. About two years later we created a version for iPad and other tablets, which is available free to print subscribers.
However, our
current tablet version does not work as well as we'd like on mobile phones, and we know that increasing numbers of people are accessing our digital content through their phones.
We are therefore trialing a mobile-friendly version of the current issue of H2Open Magazine that makes the content much easier to view and read on smaller screens (see screen shot below).
If you use an iPhone you can access the mobile-friendly version directly
through the H2Open app. Alternatively, if you use an Android or Windows device you can access it through the Pocket Mags app (download Pocket Mags and then search for H2Open).
The mobile-friendly version is free to print subscribers or you can buy a single digital issue for £3.99. Only the current issue is available in mobile friendly format.
We'd very much like to know what you think of the mobile-friendly version as this will help us decide whether to invest in producing it for every issue.
We have recently updated our
email policy in response to requests from both our advertisers and readers. We now maintain one list for our regular weekly email newsletters (usually sent out on Wednesdays at around lunchtime in the UK) and emails about H2Open and a separate list for sponsored emails. The latter are dedicated emails for specific events or products related to open water swimming that we send out on behalf of our advertisers. You can manage which type of emails you receive using the “Change Subscriber
Options” link at the bottom of this email. We really appreciate your support of our advertisers.
Please note, we do not nor will not provide your email address to any advertiser or other third party.
