You can download the new issue of H2Open for free - but please don't

Please don't be tempted by free illegal downloads
It has come to our attention that a number of websites are offering free PDF downloads of the new issue of H2Open Magazine. They also offer premium, paid for, download services. Please be aware that none of these websites are authorised by us nor do they have our permission to reproduce the magazine. We do not receive any payment for any of our magazines that they sell. These websites are operating illegally and are breaching the copyright of a number of publishers, not just us. We have issued cease & desist notices but as soon as one closes down an almost identical one replaces it. Like weeds.

We put a lot of effort into producing H2Open; it's a little annoying (like lane rage, but worse) when someone copies our work without permission and makes money out of it or entices people to click on dodgy links (our virus software flagged several of the sites as hazardous).

Actually, we're confident that anyone reading this would prefer to have a legitimate copy of H2Open rather than a pirated one, but we wanted to let you know in case you stumbled across one of these sites and thought they had our consent.

Please see below for how to get a genuine copy of H2Open.

Happy swimming

Simon Griffiths
Founder, H2Open Magazine

p.s. Quick update on the print version of our latest issue: it was posted to subscribers on 27 November. Copies should be arriving imminently, if they haven't already.
How to buy H2Open safely and legally
A digital (tablet or PC) subscription costs as little as £2.33 per issue - and is far superior to a dodgy PDF download. If you buy a print subscription (£24.95 in the UK), you get free access to our digital editions anyway.

The only company we authorise to produce digital versions of H2Open Magazine is Pocket Mags. They create a high-quality page-turner replica of the print magazine that you can access across multiple devices.

Alternatively, you can see our current print subscription offers here.

What if I still really, really want to get H2Open for nothing?
We understand, signing up for a subscription to a magazine you haven't seen before is something of a risk. You don't know if you will enjoy it.

Alternatively, click on the image or here for a free legitimate PDF download (via Dropbox) of our Oct/Nov 2015 issue.

Email policy
We have recently updated our email policy in response to requests from both our advertisers and readers. We now maintain one list for our regular weekly email newsletters (usually sent out on Wednesdays at around lunchtime in the UK) and emails about H2Open and a separate list for sponsored emails. The latter are dedicated emails for specific events or products related to open water swimming that we send out on behalf of our advertisers. You can manage which type of emails you receive using the “Change Subscriber Options” link at the bottom of this email. We really appreciate your support of our advertisers.

Please note, we do not nor will not provide your email address to any advertiser or other third party.
