H2Open Newsletter: how dangerous is Weil's disease?

Published: Wed, 11/18/15

Christmas issue ready for printing
This week's a busy one for the H2Open team as we finalise our Dec/Jan issue, which is due to go to the printer tomorrow and should start arriving with subscribers towards the end of next week. Things to look out for include a timely look at how to prepare for an 'ice' mile, how to keep your stroke together in rough conditions and swimming with killer whales.

You can see our current magazine subscription offers here.

Meanwhile, in this week's newsletter we look at the risks of Weil's disease (not as much of a danger as some people think), consider whether open water swimmers should learn how to do tumble turns and should children be banned from wearing goggles during swimming lessons? See below for details.

Make a swimmer happy this Christmas
Do you know someone who would enjoy H2Open Magazine but hasn't got around to subscribing yet? Why not buy them a gift subscription? It's easy, and we'll send you a free Christmas card you can hand over on the day.

Please either visit our subscriptions website or call our subscriptions team on +44 (0) 1778 392467.

As you go through the process you will have the option to select that this is a gift subscription and to have a Christmas card sent to you to hand over to the lucky swimmer on Christmas day. For this option we recommend you set a subscription start date of Feb/Mar 2016 to ensure your friend doesn't receive our Dec/Jan issue before Christmas and spoil the surprise.

If instead you would like to give a copy of the magazine as well as a card on Christmas Day, then please phone our subscriptions team to have the Dec/Jan issue delivered to you.

Email policy
We have recently updated our email policy in response to requests from both our advertisers and readers. We now maintain one list for our regular weekly email newsletters (usually sent out on Wednesdays at around lunchtime in the UK) and emails about H2Open and a separate list for sponsored emails. The latter are dedicated emails for specific events or products related to open water swimming that we send out on behalf of our advertisers. You can manage which type of emails you receive using the “Change Subscriber Options” link at the bottom of this email. We really appreciate your support of our advertisers.

Please note, we do not nor will not provide your email address to any advertiser or other third party.
