How to keep an open water swimmer in one place

If you've got a friend (or partner or relative) who enjoys swimming outside, you may find it's difficult to get hold of them because they're always in the water. One way to keep a swimmer in place, at least for a short time, is to buy him or her a subscription to H2Open Magazine. That way you can ensure they will at least settle down with a mug of coffee for a few hours every two months to read through the latest issue.

However, you may find that after reading your swimming friend is doubly inspired and comes up with even more plans and ideas for water-based adventures!

As you go through the process you will have the option to select that this is a gift subscription and to have a card sent to you (design above) that you can present to the lucky swimmer on Christmas day. For this option we recommend you set a subscription start date of Feb/Mar 2016 to ensure your friend doesn't receive our Dec/Jan issue before Christmas and spoil the surprise.

If instead you would like to give a copy of the magazine as well as a card on Christmas Day, then please phone our subscriptions team to have the Dec/Jan issue delivered to you.

Email policy

We have recently updated our email policy in response to requests from both our advertisers and readers. We now maintain one list for our regular weekly email newsletters (usually sent out on Wednesdays at around lunchtime in the UK) and emails about H2Open and a separate list for sponsored emails. The latter are dedicated emails for specific events or products related to open water swimming that we send out on behalf of our advertisers.
