It's a bank holiday weekend in England and Wales so hopefully that means more time for swimming, and more time for reading about swimming. We've therefore decided to share an article we published in the July issue of Outdoor Swimmer from Ella
Foote, one of our regular contributors. Ella travels the country meeting swimmers and swimming authors, and then she writes about it. For this article, she met her hero Charles Sprawson, author of Haunts of the Black Masseur. The article inspired us to run an Instagram swallow dive picture competition - the results of which you can see in our September issue, which is being printed now.
Ella has three articles in our September
issue. Firstly, she joins Lewis Pugh on his epic length of the English Channel swim, then she meets the authors of Salt Path and finally she swims with Derwent Reservoir Open Water Swimmers.
Also coming up in September:
- Training sessions to help you control your pacing
- The amazing history of Egypt's open water swimming
heroes
- Swimming with bats!
- Swimming with your dog!
- Interview with Big Rick's Swim Team ahead of their four-way Channel relay attempt
- Michele Surcouf conquers her fear of sharks on a swim trip to the Galapagos Islands.
