We had a fantastic day on Sunday at the Outdoor Swimmer Show. Many thanks to everyone who came along. We hope you enjoyed the sunshine and a delightful water temperature of 22.7 degrees. We had Olympians, Paralympians and people doing their first ever open water mile taking part, and while their
finishing times ranged from less than 20 minutes to more than an hour, everyone came out of the water smiling.
Swimming events are, of course, not just about the swimming. They are also social occasions: somewhere to bring your friends and family and to meet up with swimming acquaintances, and that's the topic of this week's blog. At Outdoor Swimmer HQ we're currently putting the finishing touches to our August issue - summer seems to be flying by - as this goes to press on Thursday. Things to look out for next month include how to get through a slump in your swimming performance, fine-tuning your catch in freestyle and the
delightful story of Diane Struble's race across Lake George. More details coming soon.
Swim wild and free,
