The unexpected and unwanted consequences of FINA’s poorly conceived wetsuit ruling

It's deadline week again for us and our September issue goes to press tomorrow. As well as our usual news, club stories, event and gear reviews we'll be looking at the importance of quality (as opposed to quantity) in your swimming training, how to focus on what you can control during a swim rather than the external factors that might distract you, Cassie Patten shares her advice on settling your mind before an important event and we've got an interview with the author of Swimming with Seals. The next issue should arrive with subscribers on or around 26 August.

Meanwhile, if you haven't yet read our August issue, you can get a copy here.

In this week's newsletter we discover that there have been some unexpected consequences from FINA's wetsuit ruling, I took part in a NOWCA Swim and we report on a new version of Swimathon for the open water.

Enjoy the newsletter and happy swimming.
