Learning Feel for the Water

It was a busy weekend for the Outdoor Swimmer team as Sunday was our Outdoor Swimmer Show at the Henley Mile. In what was a great day of swimming, contributing editor Alice Gartland came third female in the traditional category and Outdoor Swimmer founder Simon Griffiths came second in the men's 45-54 category. Meanwhile, I was in Switzerland taking part in the Ötillö Engadin swimrun race and training contributor Dan Abel was mid-way across the English Channel. Congratulations to Dan on an amazing swim! Waiting for a Channel slot can be a frustrating experience as weather and tides mean it can be a long waiting game, but new records have already been set this year, including Andy's Channel Ladies' new three-way ladies' record and Last of the Summer Waves became the oldest ladies' relay team.

Enjoy this week's newsletter and happy swimming.
