Outdoor Swimmer Newsletter – The Importance of Being Acclimatised

Published: Wed, 05/10/17

You may have noticed that, in the south east of England at least, it is pretty nippy. As such, water temperatures are below average for the time of year. If you are starting your outdoor swimming this month, as lakes and venues open for the season, remember to take it easy and acclimatise yourself to the cool water.
Last week we sold out of copies of the current issue of Outdoor Swimmer (issue 2, May) but we’ve managed to find a few hidden away behind the piles of swimming kit in the Outdoor Swimmer office. You can get your copy from us directly here: http://outdoorswimmer.com/currentissue
If you want to have your say on outdoor swimming, whether it is to vent your spleen on a specific issue or simply let us know why you love swimming outdoors, write to editor@outdoorswimmer.com and you could be in the chance of winning our Star Letter prize, a Charlie McLeod Sports Cloak.
Enjoy this week's newsletter and happy swimming.
