Outdoor Swimmer Newsletter – Issue 1 nearly ready!

This is an exciting (but stressful!) week for us as we add the finishing touches to the first print edition of Outdoor Swimmer magazine. We are sending it to the printer tomorrow and it should start arriving with subscribers from Friday 21 March. In addition, we're including Part 1 of our 64-page two-part Beginner's Guide to Outdoor Swimming. Part 2 comes free with Issue 2 (May 2017) of Outdoor Swimmer, so if you're new to swimming outside now might be the perfect time to sign up for a subscription and find out all you need to get you started.

Meanwhile, in this week's newsletter, Selkie Swim co-founder Tom Kean shares his thoughts on the unusual breathing technique employed by Sun Yang and asks whether it's relevant in open water, we've got a brief report from the New Zealand Ocean Swim Series and we've dug out an article from our archives on the importance of stretching and how to get in the right frame of mind to do it properly.

Enjoy the newsletter and happy swimming.
