Swimmers around the world tell us how important swimming outdoors and connecting with the natural world is to their mental health. As Mental Health Awareness Week is coming to an end, we hope that you've been able to get in the water and focus on some me time.
Our 2020 Trends in Outdoor Swimming Report highlighted the connection between outdoor swimming and improving our mental health and wellbeing with more than two out of three people surveyed saying outdoor swimming was essential or very important to their mental health. Other reasons to swim outside included, taking on a challenge, racing and the social life.
The past year has been tough on everyone. Mental health is such an important subject and yet a lot of people struggle to talk about it.
