We're planning a fun day to celebrate the joy of swimming outdoors. Expect coaching, community swim sessions, inspiring talks, fancy dress, playful races and birthday party vibes (cake guaranteed).

As we turn 15, Hilsea Lido celebrates its 90th year, and Portsmouth commemorates 100 years of city status, it’ll be an outdoor swimming festival to remember.

Fancy improving your front crawl or breaststroke? Want to learn outdoor swimming skills? We have a very limited number of places in small group coached sessions.

Swim Faster Front Crawl with Simon Griffths: Outdoor Swimmer's founder, Simon, is a speed demon! He'll help you improve your efficiency in this 30-minute session.

Open Water Swimming Skills with Rowan Clarke: Features writer Rowan is an experienced open water coach. In this session, she'll show you some key skills for taking your swimming outdoors.

Break from Breaststroke with Ella Foote: Ever wanted to try front crawl. Editor, coach and swim guide, Ella, will show you how to get started.

Breaststroke Improvers with Kirsty Trotter: Join Kirsty from Eat, Swim, Sleep, Repeat to improve your breaststroke. Kirsty's an STA Level 2 Open Water Coach and a keen Bluetit. Her session is perfect for swimmers who want to make their breaststroke a bit more efficient.

Water safety for children aged 8-14: Keep your children safe this summer with this vital swimming safety session. We'll look at how children can keep themselves safe, and what to do if they or one of their friends gets into trouble.
