Understanding sighting in open water and preventing it from slowing you down

A Renaissance Swimmer event
Dear Swimmer
Many swimmers lose time in open water because their sighting is less effective than it could be: it disrupts their timing, strains their back, sinks their legs or even causes them to come to a complete standstill.
Luckily, sighting is a relatively easy skill to practise and improve, and doing so can make a big difference to your outdoor swimming. Not only will you get faster, you'll feel smoother and more comfortable in the water.
Next Wednesday, I'm running an online skill-boost session exploring:
✅What efficient sighting looks like
✅Common faults that cause people to lose speed
✅Simple exercises you can use to improve your sighting.
If you want to swim more efficiently this summer, reserve your spot today.
