Hi ,
Â
Until I was about 12 or 13, I did most of my swimming without goggles. I remember the excitement of seeing underwater for the first time when I started using them.
Â
But when I moved into open water swimming, I quickly realised how important it is to see above the water – whether you're spotting turn buoys in a race or simply taking in the scenery.
Â
For open water racing, goggles need to be robust enough to withstand the occasional accidental blow to the face and stay secure even when you're being buffeted by waves. They also need to be comfortable for several hours or more, especially for long-distance swims.
Â
That’s already a lot to ask. But ideally, you also want lenses that work across a range of lighting conditions, from overcast skies to dazzling sunshine. And of course, they shouldn’t fog up.
Â
In open water, I often use Zoggs Predator Flex goggles because they tick ALL those boxes. Read on to discover more about the Zoggs Predator range and how to choose the perfect pair for you. Plus, get 25% off the entire Predator range with code PREDATOR25 at zoggs.com until 30
