Dear fellow swimmers
While swimming can be a minimalist sport, the careful
selection of kit can enhance your experience. Even something as basic as your swimming costume can make or break your swim. The key is to find something
you are comfortable in wearing and supports your movement through the water, rather than hinders it – especially if you want to race.
In fact, when it comes to racing, a specialist race-suit makes a noticeable difference, in both the pool and open water – but, be warned, they come with a hefty price tag.
But costumes aren’t the only thing that help your speed.
Goggle choice is also vital. The right goggles will allow you to swim for hours without fogging or leaking. They will stay in place in rough water or if you
bump into another swimmer, and they will give you clear vision above and below the water. Check out our reviews to find your perfect pair.
Finally, for those who enjoy music while swimming, we tested a range of waterproof headphones.
