Who says you can't have wild adventures in the city? There's something thrilling about swimming in an urban landscape, immersing yourself in history and culture.

On August 16th, I'll be taking part in Dock2Dock, London's most iconic swim event, with my Outdoor Swimmer colleague, Rowan. And we need your help. 

When you sign up for Dock2Dock (either as a group or individually), you have the option to enter a team/club name. The BIGGEST team registered will get the Dock2Dock team trophy, a 20% team discount for the next Dock2Dock event... and bragging rights for an entire year. AN EVENT FOR EVERYBODY

If you've never taken part in an outdoor swimming event, this is the perfect place to begin.

For a start, it's a unique chance to swim in the historical London Royal Docks, against the urban backdrop and alongside the London City Airport runway while planes are taking off and landing - where else can you experience that view from the water?

But it's also one of the most inclusive events out there. You can choose from core distances with very generous swim cut-off times - so you can choose whether to get your head down and go for it or take your sweet time. Dock2Dock is super friendly and  suitable for every ability.
