✨ Every swimsuit needs a silver lining! ✨
Can digital editor Abi entice her friend into the cold water this winter with Zoggs new range of thermal swimwear?Â
Â
Â
This year will be my third year of outdoor swimming throughout autumn and winter. While I love it, it can be tricky finding other swimmers crazy enough to brave the chilly temperatures with me.
Â
My friend Lisa is a keen wild swimmer but she tends to stick to the warmer months, and even then she prefers to wear something long sleeve or with a bit of extra insulation.
Â
Armed with four gorgeous swimsuits
from Zoggs new range of silver-lined swimwear, I met Lisa one autumn morning to see how she’d fare trying them out in our local lake.
Each of these swimsuits has a thermal silver lining that helps retain body heat for 60% longer than normal swimsuits.

Â
The compressive outer fabric (called Ecofeel) is made from recycled plastic waste, is chlorine resistant and has UP50+ sun protection. Lisa and I were surprised at how soft the Ecofeel fabric felt, and were keen to try
out the thermal technology in the water.
Â
Our verdict? It WORKS! We were both surprised at how warm the silver lining kept our core while we were in the lake. As someone who really feels the cold, Lisa was particularly thrilled, comfortably enjoying her lengthy dip out in the autumn air.
Â
Lisa also loved how easy it was to get in and out of the Black Scoopback suit, and was impressed by the chest support of the Florish Blue Crossback. Being a front crawl swimmer, I liked the sporty straps and
medium leg cut of the Strikeback suit, and the funky pop of colour on the Look Inside Scoopback, which is ideal for visibility in the water.
Â
So, with her new silver-lined swimsuits, it’s safe to say Lisa is now a cold-water convert. And me? I’ve got a new winter swimming buddy.
Thanks Zoggs!
