Dear fellow swimmers
It's time to look back, and look forward
In the next issue of Outdoor Swimmer, which will be published in January, we’re going to take a
look back at some of 2024’s inspiring swims. Highlights for me include the thrilling open water races in the Olympics, Neil Agius 60-hour circumnavigation of Malta and Sam Farrow’s Lake Geneva record.
What stands out for you? If you’ve been inspired by another swimmer this year, please reply to this email and tell us. It doesn’t have to be a
world-beating swim. Perhaps it’s someone who completed a personal swimming challenge despite the odds or someone who has given up their time to help swimmers achieve their goals. Let us know – we may be able to feature them in the magazine.
We’ll also be looking forward to 2025 and encouraging you to think about your swimming dreams and aspirations. When you get to the end of the
year and look back, it’s usually those events that took effort to make happen that stand out. What will you do next year? One suggestion is to try something new and something brave – which may or may not be the same thing.
