In The Dip this weekend, we share some really inspiring readers' stories from 16-year-old Prisha Tapre's English Channel crossing, artfully captured by photographer Paul Meyler, to 62-year-old Irishman Barry Murphy's attempt to swim his third Triple Crown in open water. Having already completed the Irish Triple Crown and the Original Triple Crown, Barry is now taking on the Catalina Channel.

Last weekend I did the Gribbin Swimrun on Saturday (17.8k of trail running and 4.8k of sea swimming) and the Dart 10k on Sunday. Two tough events. I knew I'd be tired and didn't know if I could get through a long swim without cramping but I wanted to make the most of the time away. I also had to deal with the logistics of two different events 100km apart. Surprisingly, and luckily, it all went to plan despite road closures, rain and the risk the swim would be cancelled. I'm more pleased about managing to get through it all than the race results, even though they were better than I expected. I paid for it all on Monday, mind.
