In the new ‘Protest’ issue of Outdoor Swimmer – out now and available to order! – we ask not only how can you be a better swimmer but how can you do more for swimming?

Many swimmers pick litter at their swim spots and try to do their bit to leave their local swim spot better than they found it. But some swimmers take their fight further to campaign for the environment, make access to the water better, improve water quality and protect wildlife. But fighting for our right to swim doesn’t just stop there. From individual swimmers campaigning for disability access, to eco-conscious companies trying to bring about industry change, the fight for a better swimming world is being fought on many fronts.
