Beat the ballot and swim for Level Water |
Truly Glorious Swimming Events
You can sign up now for next year's Dart10k and Bantham Swoosh with tickets live for Level Water’s iconic swims. These swims are so oversubscribed that entry is by ballot only – but you can guarantee your place by securing
your charity place now before the ballots open in November.
We are also excited by the return of the Bantham Boomerang. A unique swim that challenges participants to see how far they can swim before the tide turns. All of these events should be on every
swimmer’s bucket list – and you can guarantee your place now by signing up to a charity place with Level Water.
Outdoor Swimmer are proud to partner with Level Water to support the work they do providing 1-1 swimming lessons for children with disabilities across the UK. By signing up to a
charity place now you not only guarantee your place on the start line of the UK’s most iconic swims but also help raise essential funds for Level Water to teach disabled children to swim.
Level Water also runs a series of team based, challenging and fun 24hr swim relays – scroll down for more
info and find out where you can join Team Outdoor Swimmer. Are you up for a 24-hour swim challenge?

A world famous, marathon distance swim down the beautiful River Dart. The Dart10k takes you on a stunning journey from Totnes to Greenway and is a bucket list swim for many outdoor swimmers.
A 6km
morning swim in Devon, culminating in the famous ‘Swoosh’ tide which carries you down the River Avon onto the glorious Bantham Beach – at speeds of up to four times your normal swim speed!
How far can
you swim before the tide turns? It’s a simple question that can be answered by taking on the Bantham Boomerang, a unique sunset event where you swim as far as you can up the River Avon, with the support of an incoming tide. When the tide turns, so do you. The Avon will swoosh you back towards Bantham Beach in true boomerang style. You’ll swim with the outgoing tide until you arrive on the beach at sunset with people usually swimming between 5km and 10km.
Charity tickets are open NOW!
Wednesday 1 November: General entry and Volunteer tickets go live
The Hurly Burly is a fast, wild, 10km swim (and run if you’re up for it) in Snowdonia,
Wales. It’s called ‘Hurly Burly’ for good reason as you’ll find yourself being truly tested by the elements.
Fingers crossed that the Hurly Burly will be back in 2024 once the repair works are completed on the footbridge in Barmouth.
Register your interest to be the first to know when tickets are available.
The challenge is simple. Gather a team of up to 8 swimmers
and swim for an hour each, for 24 hours. It really doesn’t matter what your ability is. It’s not a race, no one is being timed or tracked. You swim as much as you want, as fast as you want.
Up for the challenge? There are four relays in summer 2024: Shepperton, Clevedon, Box End Park and Lake 32. Team Outdoor Swimmer will be swimming for 24 hours at Shepperton. We’d love to see you there too!
