Challenge yourself to a dip that might be life-changing – for you and for thousands of people around the world!

Taking part in a winter dip – whether it’s an organised dressed-up dash into the sea or a quieter tradition with friends and family – is an important part of many of our festive breaks.

If you enjoy being in the water over the Christmas and New Year period, we would love to invite you to be part of something bigger and to make your winter dip even more life-changing – by helping WaterAid bring joy to the almost 1 in 10 people who still don’t have clean water close to home.

There are three main ways to take on the WaterAid Winter Dip challenge and make it your very own

Pick a special festive day – make it extra special by inviting friends and family and donning your fave fancy dress.
Choose a week in December and challenge yourself to take a daily plunge.
If you’re a little more hard-core, you could even commit to a dip every day from now until 1 January – it's totally up to you!

By asking others to support your brave moment, you will be helping WaterAid to reach the 1 in 10 people around the world who still don’t have clean drinking water close to home.

What better way to clear your head after Christmas than to run full pelt into the sea? Joining an organised Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Day swim can be a great way to get into the water safely and in great festive company.
