ARLA GREAT NORTH SWIM
9-11 June 2023, Windermere, Lake District
The countdown is on to this year's Arla Great North Swim, with six different open water swimming distances to suit all ages, abilities and experience. Whether you’re a veteran open water swimmer or you’re looking to try something new, there’s an option to suit.

We can finally say goodbye to those wintery, dark days and start to fill our calendars with more trips to the sea, the lakes, the rivers and the lidos.
This year’s Arla Great North Swim and SwimRun events are less than 2 months away and we can’t wait to head back to the banks of Windermere, on Friday 9-Sunday 11 June, for the UK’s biggest open water swim event.
We’ve got distances to suit all levels and abilities, ranging from a 250 metre beginner option – right up to a marathon 10k swim distance for those who are feeling up for a challenge.
Entries have been flying in over the last couple of weeks, so
now’s most definitely the time to secure your spot on the start line!
For those who would like to take on a land and water adventure… Look no further!
Our amazing SwimRun event, which incorporates a combination of trail running and open water swimming, comes in 3 ‘sizes’…
Endurance (approx. 39k - 6 runs and 7 swims)
Middle (approx. 24k - 4 runs and 5 swims)
Short (approx. 12k - 3 runs and 3 swims)
The Arla Great North SwimRun returns to Brockhole this year after waiting patiently in the wings for a couple of years to make its big comeback post-Covid… So this one is going to be a really special one.
