The Great North Swim is back on 9-11 June 2023, with six different open water swimming distances to suit all ages, abilities and experience. Whether you’re a veteran open water swimmer or you’re looking to try something new, there’s an option to suit.

Dive into nature and join us at the UK’s biggest open water swimming event.

On your marks, get set, go!

Choose your distance and immerse yourself in nature in the beautiful surroundings of Windermere. Think of it more as an open water adventure than a race!

Swim250 – Perfect for beginners and younger swimmers
Half Mile – A great introduction to outdoor swimming
1 Mile – The classic Great North Swim distance!
2 Miles – Perfect if you are looking for a longer challenge
5k – For experienced swimmers looking to go further
10k – Take on the ultimate challenge!

13 VALLEYS ULTRA

29 September - 1 October 2023

It’s one year to go to the inaugural 13 Valleys Ultra, an epic ultra marathon event in the stunning landscape of the Lake District National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Be the first to take on the 13 Valleys Ultra and take your place on the start line.

There are three ultra distances – 60km, 100km and 180km – and a 20km trail distance, each promising spectacular trail and mountain running over the fells, round the magnificent lakes and waters, and through the unique valleys of the Lake District National Park.
