KESSOCK FERRY SWIM RETURNS WITH 300 SWIMMERS
After a fifty-year gap 300 swimmers took to the water in Inverness last weekend for the revival of the Kessock Ferry Swim. The route follows the old Kessock ferry route from South to North Kessock and back. It is about 1.2k in challenging tidal waters. The swim was a popular annual event from 1947-1968 before indoor pools became favoured for swimming
events.
East London Waterworks Park is a charitable company run by volunteers. We plan to transform an East London industrial site into community-owned natural swimming ponds and a biodiverse park, and we need your support to
raise £1 million through crowdfunding to help us buy the site.
As we move into warmer months, there is something liberating about being able to pack a bum bag with a little towel and a pair of trunks and run off into the hills for a swim unencumbered by changing robe and bags full of winter kit. But safety is still a consideration, which is why I was impressed by the Restube Active.
